Panther Fountain is flowing!

The newly restored Panther Fountain is well worth a trip to Talahi Park. The entire fountain is gleaming white again, and the panther heads are spouting water. KP-SHA Board member Melinda Ethier led the renovation effort and the fundraising committee, which also included Robin Knapp, Jay Schmid, Stacey Wiseman, and Lisa Carroll. More than 200 households donated the needed funds. After consulting Knox Heritage about firms that excel in restoration work, the committee chose the masonry specialists at WASCO and East Tennessee Rooter and Plumbing for the job. The bronze plaque honoring the larger donors will be installed on the lawn surrounding the fountain later this year. This third and final project completes the nearly decade-long effort to restore historic Talahi Park.
